Personal and Background:
-
I was born in San Jose, Costa Rica. I came to the United States at the age of 4 1/2 years old. Shortly after our arrival to the States we lived in Lynwood, California until I was 12 years old when my dad's company moved to Orange County. My parents bought their first home in 1975 in Huntington Beach, California. It was definitely a wonderful place to raise a family! We were the only Hispanic family living in the neighborhood. But my friends were such good friends and many learned to know where Costa Rica was on the map, and learned their fist Spanish words in my home.
- In 1989, I relocated to Northern California and worked at UC Berkeley for 15 years until our relocation to Boise, Idaho in 2004.
- We relocated to Illinois in September 2011! The Midwest is full of adventure and incredible people! There is SOOO much to do that sometimes you don't know where to begin! I love the history, the culture, and the enthusiasm of Illinois!
-
I am married to a wonderful man and we've made Burr Ridge, Illinois our home.
-
I have two daughters (Sophia and Natalia).
